Ronald McDonald Family Room® Now Open The new Ronald McDonald House Family Room inside Kentucky Children’s Hospital provides an area of respite and relaxation for families of children being cared for in the critical care units (NICU & PICU.) New! Check out Photos from the Dedication Ceremony Photos / Slideshow by Shaun Ring Photography Herald-Leader story about the new Family Room Staffed entirely by volunteers, the Room offers several seating areas for private conversation and quiet reflection, complimentary snacks and McDonald’s® coffee, as well as personal-use entertainment electronic devices (DVD and CD players; and personal electronic game systems.)
